Top 3 Memorable Cricket Moments: Winning treble with Waringstown in 1992 Playing at Sahara Park Newlands Playing at Eden Park Auckland

Top 3 Worst Cricketing Moments: Losing the NCU league in 1993 in the infamous Derrick McCann game. Losing the All Ireland semi final in 1996 which effectively marked the break up the side I had grown up in. Rupturing my Achilles in 2003

Funniest cricketing moment: There have been many. Andrew Agnew “heading” the ball for six at Harare South in 1995 will raise a smile with all those that witnessed it.

Top 3 friends in cricket and why: I like to think I have many – Inter action with the opposition & marking friends after a game has always been a key part of why I have played the game.

Most influential person in your playing career to date and why: Ivan Anderson – Colin Magowan used to joke that when I was Waringstown captain I was only Ivan’s puppet!

Top 3 best players played with: Ivan Anderson Garfield Harrison Alan Nelson

Most destructive player played with and against and why: Alvin Spence – Had the ability to completely change the pace of a game. Against - Decker Curry – His record of almost 100 centuries in North West cricket in almost unbelievable

Most reliable played played with and against and why: David Dennison – At the peak of his game he was the man you would put money on to score runs in the important matches. Against - Simon Corlett – A complete cricketer.

Favourite International cricketer and why: I would have huge respect for Kyle McCallan not just for his ability but because he has been able to sustain his performances in gaining over 200 caps – A remarkable achievement.

Best tourist with the Grasshoppers: There have been many. Some because of their great wit, some because of their commitment on the pitch, some because of their contribution off the field and others who have been just good guys whose company you enjoyed.

What are you most looking forward to in touring India in Feb 2009: It is a little like going to Zimbabwe in 1987, in that we are going slightly into the unknown. It will be a completely different culture in a completely cricket mad country which is now the financial power base of world cricket.
