The Northern Cricket Union have commenced Youth coaching for 2009 and have been busy selecting the most talented Under 13 players to go forward for squad practices in the New Year.

Ireland Under 13 Coach Ian Rutledge assisted by Brian Scroggie and Phil Smyth have trialed over 50 boys and have narrowed numbers down to a Winter squad of 18 plus spaces for boys who are currently nursing sports injuries.

Participants are currently being notified of their selection and practices planned accordingly over the winter period commencing on Friday the 5th December.
