With more cricket than ever being played by Scotland’s performance teams, Lions coach Andy Tennant continues to ring the changes in order to give players an opportunity to stake a claim for further recognition.

So Andi McElnea, Preston Mommsen and Andy Hislop will make their debuts for an ‘Emerging Lions’ XI against Scotland’s U19s at Uddingston tomorrow (July 1). The match will be played in coloured clothing to give the U19s white-ball experience in preparation for their upcoming Regional World Cup Qualifier in Jersey.

Tennant added: "We are entering an exciting new era for Scottish cricket, and it is a time of great opportunity for young players who show the appetite and hunger to make the next step. These types of games provide those opportunities and will help inform future selections."
