Kyle McCallan received a special award at last night's Belfast Telegraph Sports Award - one of the most prestigious of the evening.
It was presented to him by the Northern Ireland football manager Nigel Worthington to mark his career with Ireland.
In an interview with host for the evening Jackie Fullerton, McCallan said Irish cricket was in excellent shape, going from strength to strength. And without hesitation he volunteered the most memorable moment of his career ....... the six-hit by Trent Johnston to take Ireland to victory over Pakistan and into the Super 8 of the 2007 ICC World Cup in the West Indies.
The recently retired all-rounder enjoyed a glittering career in international cricket, becoming his country's most capped player, and played a starring role in both the 50 and 20 over World Cups in the West Indies and England.
