Fraser Couton from Strathmore Cricket Club has been selected to play in a trial match for the Scotland Under 17 team.

The 17 year old recently attended a coaching session at the National Academy and impressed so much so that he has been included in a preliminary 19 man sqaud which will take part in a final trial match on June 13.

Coaches Craig Wright and Alan Petterson will then decide on the final compostion of the team who will play The Netherlands on June 29-30 as part of the revamped ICC European tournament schedule for Under 17's.

A seam bowler, Fraser has been a regular fixture in the Strathmore second XI for the past few seasons, and has played for the first team on several occasions.
