Recognising the need for our sport to be conducted in a safe and controlled environment, Cricket Ireland are running two First Aid and Child Protection courses in theLeinster region.

It is essential that anyone involved in cricket coaching hasup-to-date Child Protection and First Aid Certificates, in addition to a GardaVetting Certificate/Access N.I. Certificate.

All of these are pre-requisites for anyone to attend and complete a CoachingCourse to be run in future, and are necessary to become members of the ECB CoachesAssociation, which will give coaches full insurance and public liability up to £5,000,000.00, in addition to providing coaches with helpful DVDs, training resources and methods, newsletters and the opportunity to attend superb coachingconferences.

It is Cricket Ireland’s vision that EVERY Coach in Ireland hasaccess to the WORLD LEADING Coaching Association.

There are the following courses available:

• Child Protection/Code Of Ethics: 27/03 – North County Cricket Club 1000-1400
• 10/04 – Kings Hospital School 1000-1400
• First Aid: 27/03 – North County Cricket Club 1430-1830
• 10/04 – Kings Hospital School 1430-1830

The cost of the Child Protection course is 20 Euro and the First Aid is 15 Euro. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will be available, and there will be a 30 minute gapbetween the Child Protection and First Aid courses, please note – there willbe no lunch provided.
