Terenure set club record against Trinity
Terenure v Trinity College
Terenure created a record for the club today when scoring 383 runs for five wickets from their allotted 50 overs against what can only be described as a very weakened Trinity side.
Trinity won the toss and decided to bowl - a decision they surely must have regretted as Terenure piled on the runs in idyllic conditions - perhaps they didn't fancy batting and a possible early return to their studies?
A century from Colin Morgan (121), 75 from Shane Mott and 45 from Sumar Das brought their total to 383 runs, which is a splended effort no matter who the opposition.
The only bowling of note for Trinity was C Minch, who took 1 for 27 off three overs.
In reply Trinity found runs hard to get in the face of very hostile bowling.
Only Eoghan Delaney (53), and Ian Page (47) managed to score any runs of note, and Trinity eventually managed 246/8 when their overs ran out.
Best of the Terenure bowling was Michael Launders (2-36) and Ken Brennan (2-41), as they recorded a 137 run win.
