Despite the dreary conditions both of the scheduled Division 2 matches in the Billy Henderson Properties league have reached the halfway stage and will now hopefully be completed on Tuesday evening.
At Creevedonnell the home side have batted first against Burndennett and closed on 141 all out after 36.3 overs. Gareth Faulkner top scored with 37 and Brian Dougherty added 32 with skipper Stephen Scroggie chipping in with 23 as John McCormack claimed the bowling honours for Burndennett with 4 for 13 from his 6 overs.
Philip Kelly, Mark Roulston and Stephen McCay all claimed 2 wickets and Burndennett will hope to complete the job from here and put themselves back in the promotion picture.
At Killyclooney, visitors Sion Mills have made a useful 179 all out courtesy of an excellent 77 from Skipper John Brown. "Book" hit 11 fours in his knock and was given good support in the middle order by Mark McNulty who made 40. Derek Lynch with 3 for 35 was pick of the home side's bowling in a game that could now go either way.
