The following schools will be taking part in the Leinster Schools cricket leagues this year for the first time:

Ardgillan Secondary School, Balbriggan
Pipers Hill Secondary School, Naas
East Glendalough, Wicklow
Newpark Com, Blackrock (Girls)

Leprechaun Cup in 2011 will include the following new primary schools:

Kill of the Grange
Rathfarnham Parish
Springdale
St John Bosco's
St Mathew's NS , Irishtown
Adamstown Educate Together

Adamstown CC will also enter a boys U'15 team into the Cup and T-20 youths competitions in 2011.

Progress is also being made in Carlow with a view to re-starting the club that was based at Carlow Rugby Club. Several meetings have been held with Carlow Sports Partnership to date.

Meetings are on-going with Fingal Co Co with respect to the provision of pitches in Dublin 15.

23 Leinster coaches have just completed their Level 1 coach training held over the past three weekends at North County.

Six Leinster tours to the UK are currently being planned for 2011.

Large numbers have been attending Friday evening coaching for both girls U'13 and U'15 squads (30+). Girls U'11's are currently training at St Mary's College on Sunday mornings. Boys U'11's are currently training at Kings Hospital School on Friday evenings to accommodate the girls sessions at North County.

Co Wicklow Co Co are holding an 'Open Day' at Shorline Leisure Centre, Greystones on Sunday, March 6th next.
