The Saltires yesterday failed in their bid to complete a memorable T20 double over Sri Lanka A.
A brilliant 66 from Richie Berrington allowed the Scots to post 153-7 in Colombo.
However, the hosts claimed revenge for last week’s defeat by reaching the target with three wickets to spare.
Coach Pete Steindl said: “It was a good match played in the toughest conditions we have faced on the trip.
“Richie batted really well against an excellent attack and we pushed them hard all the way.
“It was a game of small margins and we were disappointed not to get across the line.”
