SCOTLANDís U19s maintained their unbeaten tour record with a commanding six-wicket over North West Academy in Potchefstroom.
Chasing a challenging 246 for victory, the young Scots were rocked by the loss of two early wickets.
But Tom McBride launched the recovery with a rapid 44 before Freddie Coleman and Nick Farrar seized the initiative.
The pair added 164 runs for the fourth wicket with Farrar stroking five boundaries in his 79.
However, Coleman went on to top-score with a scintillating unbeaten 89,
the Warwickshire star facing just 77 balls and hitting eleven boundaries.
Earlier Ayr seamer Scott McElnea was the pick of the Scottish bowlers with 3-49.
The young Scots, preparing for the U19 World Cup later in the year, complete their tour with a re-match against the same opponents today.
Tour Match: North West Academy 245-9 (J Mahne 73, J Fourie 49; S McElnea 3-49) lost to Scotland U19 249-4 (F Coleman 89no, N Farrar 79, T McBride 44) by six wickets.
