Irish internationals Trent Johnston and George Dockrell have emerged as two of the leading performers in the bowling stakes in the ICC Reliance Twenty20 averages.
In answer to a query on the Cricinfo website, it is revealed that former Irish skipper Johnston shares the record for most maidens in the abbreviated format of the game.
Johnston has to date bowled a total of four maidens, sharing the record with Zimbabwean left-arm spinner Ray Price.
There was further good news when it was revealed that George Dockrell holds the record for the most parsimonious bowler. The Ireland and Somerset left-armer has an economy rate of just 5.28 runs per over, juts ahead of one of the teenagers idols - Daniel Vettori of New Zealand, who averages 5.36 per over.
Ireland have of course already qualified for the ICC World Twenty20 finals in Sri Lanka in September, where they have been drawn in the same group as West Indies and Australia.
Ireland meet the latter before then in the RSA Challenge at Stormont on Saturday June 23.
