Ardmore won a high scoring encounter away at Drummond to progress to the next round of the Northern Bank Senior Cup, where they will face Burndennett in the next round.

A typically belligerent 87 from former Irish youth international Stevie Moore had seemingly put Drummond in control at the half-way stage, as they scored 251-7.

He struck 5 sixes and 8 fours in his innings, sharing in a fourth wicket stand of 128 with Gordon Cooke (49). Curtis Cooke (39) and Jason Scott (18*) were the other batsmen of note.

Paul Brolly (3-20) was the stand-out performer with the ball for Ardmore, while the other wicket takers were George Brolly (2-69), Kulkarni (1-29), and Conor Brolly (1-60).

In reply that target of 252 looked a long way off as openers Paul Brolly an dMark Chambers went cheaply, but from then on the Ardmore batters knuckled down and timed their chase to perfection.

Adrian Murphy and Phil Patterson put on 117 for the 3rd wicket, before both fell in quick succession. Murphy hit 64 (6 fours, 2 sixes) while the left-handed Patterson hit 7 boundaries in his 52.

Peter Harrigan and Tim Harris both went relatively cheaply, but Paul McDowell with 53 (4 fours, 1 six) took his side to the brink of victory, sharing in a 59 run stand with Conor Brolly (33*),

The Bleachgreen side fully desered their 3 wicket win, achieved with 10 balls to spare. Drummond's bowlers struggled with the exceptions of Cooke pere et fils, who took 1-21 and 2026 respectively.

Ardmore were the last Senior Two side to feature in a Senior Cup final, way back in 1983. They will fancy their chances of a quarter final berth when they travel to Burndennett in two weeks time,
