St Johnston captured the first silverware of the NW cricket season when they defeated Creevedonnell to capture the second tier Faughan Valley Challenge Charity Cup.

Andrew Fleming top scored with 56 to help the Donegal sdie to 141 for 8 in their 20 overs, with double figures support from David McBeth (17), Ian McBeth (15*), Michael rankin (11) and Kusphal Singh (10).

Gareth Falconer (3-24), Steven Scroggie (2-21) and Brian Dougherty (2-30) were best with the ball for Creevedonnell.

In reply, Jack Glenn (38) and Gary Neely (25) put Creevedonnell very much in contention, but Ian McBeth claimed 6 for 24 to crush their hopes.

Creevedonnell eventually were dismissed for 106, leaving St Johnston victors by 35 runs.
