There was further good news for NW and Irish cricket this morning with the news that 19 year old seam bowler Graeme McCarter has been awarded his county cap by Gloucestershire.
McCarter was presented with his cap by Gloucestershire Chairman Rex Brody before the start of their County Championship fixture against Yorkshire at Bristol.
The former Killyclooney and Fox Lodge player made a successful start to his senior career by taking three wickets on debut at Lord's against Middlesex earlier this week.
He has been named in an Ireland provisional Under 19 World Cup squad which takes place in Australia later this summer.
McCarter has one senior Irish cap to date, making his debut against Namibia in the Intercontinental Cup last summer.
