Irish broadcaster Setanta Sports has held talks with ICC and Cricket Ireland about broadcasting the forthcoming one-day internationals against Afghanistan at Clontarf.
The games, which are being played on July 3 and 5, are part of the 2015 World Cup qualifying series.
Ireland are currently top of the table with 10 points from six games played, just ahead of UAE on nett run rate.
Setanta broadcast the final stages of Ireland's successful T20 World Cup qualifying campaign, when they defeated Afghanistan in the final to qualify for Sri Lanka.
If the talks prove successful, then it will be another major boost for the profile of the sport in Ireland, with Sky Sports showing the RSA Challenge ODI against Australia in Belfast on June 23, and also the two U19 ODI's against England at Derby in July.
