Wilson and Mooney go head to head
Gary Wilson and John Mooney have both played major roles for their respective counties over the past few days as they went head to head in Southern England.
Wilson is currently unbeaten on a quite magnificent 119 not out as Surrey II's racked up 325 for 9 on the opening day of their three day game against Sussex II's.
The Irish wicket-keeper batsman hit 17 fours in a quite superb exhibition of strokeplay.
Mooney was the 8th bowler used by Sussex and he escaped the carnage inflicted by Wilson, taking 1 for 5 in four overs.
24 hours earlier it had been Mooney who had occupied centre stage as he guided Sussex to a two wicket win in a 40 over game.
Chasing 176 to win, Mooney's unbeaten 19 saw his side over the finishing line with just two deliveries remaining against a Surrey side which contained former England Test star Mark Ramprakash.
