Cricket Ireland confirmed tonight that the Inter-regional series game between the North and South scheduled to take place on Sunday in Cork has been called off.

Heavy rain has left the ground in a water-logged condition, and following a pitch inspection the decision to call off the game was made.

Cricket Ireland Performance Director Richard Holdsworth also stated that there would be no replay of the match.

The next North v South fixture in the competition is due to take place on Sunday July 22 in the NCU area.
