There was one game in the Sammy Jeffrey competition; Burndennett progressing to the semi finals with a 5-wicket win at home to Killyclooney.

Ashley Buchanan hit 8 fours on his way to 62 for the visitors in their 146 all out while Stephen McCay claimed figures of 5 for 36. Conan Pollock replied with 8 fours and a six in his 52 however as the home side won with a bit in hand.

And finally two cracking games in the Ulster Shield that both went down to the wire. Eglinton made 239 for 5 in their 40 overs thanks mainly to a 164-run opening stand between bang in-form Christopher Pierce (95) and Andy Christie (63) in their home game with Downpatrick.

Peter Tate (90) and Eric Laubscher (55) replied in kind for the visitors who looked to be cruising until a hat-trick from Jonny Gardiner (5 for 43) turned the match on its head an allowed the hosts to scramble home by 15 runs.

It was even closer at the Bleachgreen as Cliftonville set Ardmore a target of 168 for 5 in 36 overs, thanks mainly to 44 from Neil Cahill, 43 from Ivans and a pair of 30's from Michael Turkington and David Munn.

Adrian Murphy with 41 and Paul McDowell (27) looked like bringing Ardmore home before both fell in quick succession and the lower order struggled as Munn and Blair got among them.

Unfortunately for the Bleachgreen side the final count saw them come up an agonising one run short as Cliftonville were rewarded with another trip to the North West in the last four.
