The Scotland Lions squad travelling down to Cester Boughton Hall to play Lancashire 2nd XI in a 3 day match has been announced.
The squad will be led by Richie Berrington, while Preston Mommsen will be joining the squad after facing the Australians for Leicestershire last week.
Calum MacLeod’s impressive season has resulted in him being offered a trail at Northamptonshire and will be in action for their Second XI during the week.
Scotland U19 players, Matthew Cross and Andrew Umeed will also be part of the squad and will gain valuable experience ahead of their ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in Queensland, Australia.
It will be a final opportunity for the players to push their case for selection ahead of the Intercontinental Cup match between Scotland and Canada at Uddingston, starting on the 4-7 July.
The national squad’s attention then turns to the 50 over format, with two major ICC World Cricket League fixtures against the same opposition at the Grange on the 9th and 11th July.
