Leinster opened their Under 13 campaign with a resounding 204 run wion against hosts Munster at Farmer's Cross.
In a rain affected game Leinster amassed 236 for 3 with Sam Murphy tops coring with an unbeaten 69, and Harry Tector making a well manufactured 60. There were also useful contributions from Jamie Grassi (24) and Conor O'Gorman (23).
Ian Anders (4-10) and David O'Connor (3-14) then blew away the Munster batting as they crumbled to a disappointing 32 all out.
The game between the NW and the NCU was an altogether much tighter affair, with both sides struggling in the damp conditions. Again this was a reduced overs contest after the game was switched when the original venue was deemed unplayable.
The North West managed just 85 all out wiht only Dylan McCorkhill (28) coming to terms with the NCU attack, for whom Charlie Shannon (3-5) excelled.
The other wicket takers were Hugh Gibbons (2-6), James Hume (2-16), Jonathan Hunter (1-8) and Stuart Nelson (1-18).
Matthew Lightbody's unbeaten 19 proved crucial as the NCU just got home despite the best efforts of Scott Torrens (3-5) and Dawson Crumley (2-9).
