SEAN Olivier produced a devastating spell of bowling as Carlton crushed Clydesdale to claim a ticket to the Scottish Cup semi finals.

There was no way back for the Titwood hosts after Olivier grabbed seven for 30 - sending them plummeting to just 56 all out.

Fellow seamer Mike Herdman also weighed in with three cheap wickets in the helpful conditions.

Carlton's pursuit was not a stroll by any means and they lost six men - four of them to Mo Afzal at a cost of only 17.

Watsonians ended Renfrew's giant-killing run thanks to powerful knocks by Ewan Chalmers (87) and Gus Fraser-Harris (74 not out).

Their partnership sealed the eight wicket away win.

Stenhousemuir will fly the First Division banner after outgunning Kelburne in a rain-affected tussle at Whitehaugh.

The East Kilbride v Heriot's tussle was postponed because Torrance House is still waterlogged.

In the consolation CS Trophy, Aberdeenshire pipped Forfarshire at Mannofield and Arbroath thumped Falkland at Lochlands.

Also through to the semis are Grange, who beat Dumfries at Newfield, and West of Scotland, who whacked Ferguslie by six wickets at Hamilton Crescent.
