Richie Berrington inspired Scotland to their first ever victory against a Full Member in a recognised international, when his brilliant hundred secured a 34 run win against Bangladesh in Voorburg.

Berrington became just the 7th player to score an international T20 hundred, hitting 10 fours and 5 sixes as Scotland racked up 162-7.

25 year old Berrington totally dominated the Saltires innings, with the next best efforts coming from Calum MacLeod (19), Kyle Coetzer (14) and Preston Mommsen (12).

For the Tigers Mashrafe Mortaza (2-22) and Abdur Razzak (2-33) were best with the ball.

In truth Bangladesh never looked likely to chase down the target, as a disciplined Scotland bowling attack performed as a cohesive unit, backed up by athletic fielding which featured some wonderful catches in the outfield.

Shakib Al Hasan (31) and Tamim Iqbal (25) both got starts and Mashrafe Mortaza all too briefly threatened with two sixes in his 15, but Scotland fully deserved their 34 run victory as Bangladesh finished on 138 all out.

Josh Davey (3-23) and the ever consistent Majid Haq (3-27) took the bowling plaudits in a fine all-round display.

Special praise must go the under-fire skipper Gordon Drummond who marshalled his charges wonderfully well in the famous win.
