Ru Jones proved the hero for Ireland's Under 17's as they crushed Jersey by ten wickets in the second scheduled game of the European Regional challenge, after the first game was washed out at Clontarf on Wednesday.

Jones claimed 4 for 19 as Jersey were skittled for just 66. Mark Adair supported Jones taking 2-16, while Christopher McMorran (2-4), Peter Eakin (1-7) and Rishi Chopra bowled 6 overs for just one run as Jersey struggled throughout.

Chasing such a modest target Ireland had no trouble whatsoever as Gary McClintock made an unbeaten 41 and Aaron Kennedy 13 not out, passing the score in 18 overs.
