Mo Tariq turned in a fine all-round display to help Railway Union to an 18 run win over relegation haunted Terenure.

Tariq smashed 62 from just 31 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes) as Railway scored 216 for 6 in 40 overs.

Patrick Collins (54) and Dhruv Kapoor (46) both batted well while Michael Hoey (2-37) and Ken Brennan (2-49) were best with the ball.

Tariq (4-44) then halted the Terenure run charge as Nathan Carroll (55) and Andre Botha (44) threatened a shock.

Greg Lambert also picked up 3 for 27 as Railway prevailed by 18 runs.
