Busy time ahead!

GCA

GCA's cricket administrators face a busy time ahead in the coming months with no less than four tours scheduled and a number of sides visiting from abroad. The first of the tournaments is the ICC Trophy Competition to be held in Toronto, Canada, from the 25th. June to the 7th. July. Gibraltar has been drawn in a tough-looking group, comprising Namibia, West Africa, Italy, Nepal and Germany.

The second tour will see the Under Seventeens travelling to Corfu on the 7th. July, and the Under Nineteens go to Edinburgh on the 25th. July to defend the title they won last year in Ireland. In August, it will be the turn of the Under Fifteens to head for Berlin for their own tournament. The first of the visiting sides will come in mid-July; they are Galah Cricket Club from Australia. The Association has also been approached by a director of West of Scotland Cricket Club who wants to bring sides out in late September from the Derbyshire County League and the Middlesex League. Also wanting to come in September is the Royal Air Force Kinloss Cricket Club.
