2005 | Bermuda win regional group matches in the Intercontinental Cup against Canada and Cayman Islands but lose to Kenya in semi-final. Bermuda reach semi finals of ICC Trophy and qualify for the 2007 World Cup, and also gain ODI status until 2009. Two matches against Namibia turn ugly when Namibia's bowlers bowl several bouncers, and are accused of racist abuse towards the Bermudian players. 2006 | Bermuda play their first ODI against Canada. They win, making them only the fourth team to win their debut ODI. Bermuda take part in the first Stanford 20/20 tournament, but are knocked out by Jamaica at the first hurdle Bermuda tour Canada, winning two ODIs but losing in the Intercontinental Cup. Whilst there, they also win their first Americas Championship title. Bermuda tour Kenya, losing all three ODIs and drawing a rain affected Intercontinental Cup game, putting them out of the running for the final Bermuda's women's team play for the first time in a three match series against Canada. They win the series 2-1 to qualify them for the World Cup qualifying tournament.
