ANDREW WHITE TO MISS REMAINDER OF IRELAND TOUR

ANDREW WHITE will miss the remainder of Ireland's acclimatisation tour of Australia and New Zealand after suffering a fractured finger during yesterday's defeat by Queensland Bulls.

34 year-old White, Ireland's most capped player, sustained the injury while taking a return catch from Queensland's centurion Joe Burns.

He underwent an operation this morning to repair the damage, and will return to Ireland to begin the recuperation process.

White joins Tim Murtagh (knee), Paul Stirling (back) and Max Sorensen (wrist) on the Irish injured list.

Ireland have opted not to replace White, and will continue the tour with the 15 players in their squad.

The Irish have a chance to exact revenge on the Queensland Bulls after their 230 run loss in yesterday's tour opener when the teams meet again tomorrow (THURSDAY).
