| 1998 | Scotland participate in the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. |
| 1998 | Scotland play in their first Under 19 World Cup in South Africa. |
| 1999 | Scotland meet Australia in their first match ever in the ICC World Cup. |
| 2003 | Scotland defeat Durham County in their first ever National Cricket League fixture. |
| 2004 | Scotland win the inaugural Intercontinental Cup after beating Canada in Sharjah. |
| 2005 | Scotland defeat hosts Ireland in Dublin to win the ICC Trophy for the first time. |
| 2006 | Scotland undertake their first ODI series abroad when they travel to Bangladesh in December where they lose the series 2-0 |
| 2007 | Scotland participate in the first World Cricket League Division 1 tournament in Kenya, losing to the hosts in the final. They however qualified for the inaugural Twenty20 Championship in South Africa later in the year where the lost to Pakistan and saw their match against India abandoned without a ball being bowled. They also participated in the World Cup in the West Indies losing their matches against Australia, South Africa and the Netherlands. |
