The Ireland Under-13 selectors have named a squad of 24 for the National Training Camp which will take place in Bready on the 16th/17th and 18th July.

At Bready, the squad will be put through their paces by the coaching team of Michael Hingston, Andrew Poynter, James Colhoun & Craig Hogan.

Commenting on the training camp, lead coach Michael Hingston said:“On the back of a very competitive and exciting Under-13 Inter-Provincial competition held last week in Dublin, Cricket Ireland are hosting a three day under-13 Development Camp at Bready CC. The coaching team are really looking forward to challenging the players and taking them out of their comfort zones, as we look to develop the next generation of Irish cricketers.

“During the camp, we plan to set up a series of practice sessions on the first day, then a 45 over match between the players on the second day and finally to have a T20 match on the final morning to have a look at the lads in different game scenarios, as cricketers need to be multi-dimensional and able to adapt to as many different game-modes as possible. We hope that the players enjoy the experience and gives them a bit of a taste of what it takes to become an Ireland international of the future.”
